Who is ANZ Plus?
ANZ Plus is ANZ's own digital-only banking arm, launched in 2022 as a branchless alternative built entirely around its app. ANZ added a digital home loan to the platform on 21 November 2023, restricted at launch to owner-occupier refinancing in metro New South Wales and Victoria, at a point where ANZ Plus already held more than $10 billion in deposits and 500,000 customers.
ANZ has since widened eligibility to regional Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia, and added an offset account and an equity cash-out option in September 2024. It remains a refinance-only product for owner-occupiers, run through the ANZ Plus app rather than a branch, and is not yet available for properties in Tasmania or the Northern Territory.
Who suits a ANZ Plus home loan?
ANZ Plus tends to suit owner-occupiers refinancing an existing loan who are comfortable banking entirely through an app rather than a branch, provided their property sits in an eligible state. It does not currently offer purchase or investment lending, so borrowers outside that scope should compare its parent ANZ brand or another lender in the table above.
